Scientist Liver Discovery (100%), Switzerland

Reporting to the VP of Liver Discovery, you will be responsible for the acquisition, study design, management, and execution of service projects in the field of liver disease, mainly non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). You will also actively grow the assay portfolio of the Liver Discovery group by researching and developing innovative metabolic and organoids/cell-based assays. Main responsibilities

  • Independent supervision of service projects from acquisition, study design and execution to documentation and communication to clients

  • Preparation, presentation, and publication of scientific data in international conferences and peer-reviewed scientific journals
  • Flexible support of the proper functioning of the Liver Discovery group with ad-hoc responsibilities
 

Profile

  • PhD in Cellular or Molecular Biology
  • Strong expertise in metabolic disorders, cell-based assay research and hands-on laboratory work
  • Thorough knowledge in advanced 3D cellular models and biochemical assays
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to occasionally travel to international scientific conferences
  • Entrepreneurial and client-orientated attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experienced at Liver biology, drug discovery process or business development is a plus
  • Good command of English

Lab Manager Service Lab (60%), Switzerland

  • Ensure regular device maintenance, installation IQ/OQ, and repair of lab equipment
  • Hygiene and contamination monitoring in the service lab
  • Ensure temperature monitoring of critical devices
  • Documentation of maintenance and quality assurance
  • Organization of lab shut down and decontamination of labs
  • Training of new lab staff and cleaning personnel
  • Training of people and planning for on-duty service
  • Communication between scientific teams, operations, and quality management

Profile

  • Formation as a laboratory technician or BSc or MSc in Biology/Chemistry or other Life Sciences
