InSphero has acquired California-based PhenoVista Biosciences to expand its US presence and strengthen advanced imaging and phenotypic analysis capabilities for predictive drug discovery and safety testing.

InSphero AG has signed a definitive agreement to acquire DOPPL SA, a Lausanne-based innovator in organoid technologies, including the Sun Bioscience Gri3D® platform. The deal strengthens InSphero’s position as the most comprehensive provider of advanced 3D in vitro models for drug discovery and safety testing.

InSphero has entered a strategic partnership with PharmaNest Inc to advance the translational assessment of fibrosis in human-relevant 3D in vitro models. By combining advanced 3D liver spheroids with high-resolution, AI-enabled digital pathology, the collaboration aims to enable quantitative, phenotype-resolved analysis of fibrotic remodeling and improve the prediction of therapeutic efficacy in complex fibrotic diseases.
