In this role, you will be part of the Liver Disease Group at InSphero. You will be a main player in the execution of service projects with 3D cell culture-based solutions for the efficacy and safety assessment of drug candidates. The ideal candidate has broad experience in cell culture techniques and bioanalytical methods and thrives in a client-focused environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic setting, developing and commercializing cutting-edge tools for drug discovery for metabolic diseases.
Main Responsibilities:
- Execute and support laboratory studies for customer projects using advanced 3D cell culture models
- Contribute to internal R&D efforts, including protocol optimization and new model development
- Perform routine cell culture tasks, including maintenance, treatments, and assay execution
- Plan, execute and document experimental cell culture work
- Present project updates and data summaries to internal stakeholders and clients
- Support maintenance of laboratory infrastructure and equipment
Profile:Â
- BSc /MSc in a life science discipline (e.g., Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences), or certified Laboratory Technician with a focus on cell biology
- At least 2 years of experience in an academic or industrial cell culture laboratory

Profil:Â

IT Infrastructure Officer (80-100%)

The IT Infrastructure Officer is in charge of our IT infrastructure and supports operations. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise and planning to ensure a secure, efficient, and future-proof IT environment. The IT Infrastructure Officer will be overseeing internal IT systems, planning network structures, data management and storage solutions, while coordinating with external service providers where necessary.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage InSphero’s IT infrastructure, including networks, storage, and security systems.
- Ensure smooth operation, reliable data access, maintenance, and support of Microsoft SharePoint and Windows-based IT environments.
- Establish secure internal and external data sharing solutions
- Implement and maintain IT security policies, access controls, and cybersecurity measures.
- Develop and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and IT-related issues.
- On- and off-boarding of new staff members from an IT perspective.
- Assess, plan, and optimize InSphero’s network architecture, ensuring scalability.
- Develop and implement data management and storage concepts for large TB-scale imaging and RNA sequencing data in collaboration with scientific teams.
- Evaluate cloud vs. on-premises storage options to balance cost, performance, and compliance needs.
- Support the integration of Laboratory Information Management Systems
- Work closely with internal teams to understand IT needs and provide effective solutions.
- Manage IT licenses.
- Manage relationships with external IT service providers for specialized support, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity.
Profile:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in IT management, system administration, or a related role.

- Experience in planning and managing network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.

Commercial Operations Specialist (100%)

This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operations – ideal for someone who thrives on structure, clarity, and making things work. Reporting to the Business Support Team Leader, you are the first line of contact for customers placing an order and support the sales team with all internal processes along the sales cycle. This includes generating quotes and receiving and executing purchase orders and following up with shipment and invoicing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and streamline sales operations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, including sales processes, customer and master data administration, and intercompany data handling
- Responsible for guiding the order lifecycle and supporting customers along the way, delivering high-level customer service and ensuring smooth, consistent customer experience from start to finish
- Manage the complete order process in close collaboration with the Sales team: create and maintain quotations and related sales documents – e.g., delivery notes and invoices
- Execute incoming purchase orders; coordinate and monitor order, shipping, and delivery statuses, including confirmations, ERP processing, and lot assignments; and liaise with internal teams and external customers
- Deliver high-quality, service-oriented support in sync with sales goals and customer expectations.
- Ensure smooth operational sales processes by balancing routine tasks with ongoing process improvement
- Act as the central liaison between departments, customers, and regional distributors, ensuring seamless workflows and clear and proactive communication

Profile:Â
- KV or BSc degree or relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a client-facing role (e.g., customer service, order entry, supporting operational sales processes, handling customer/product data); experience in the Life Sciences industry is a plus
- Familiar with broader sales workflows, including funnel management, sales cycles, quotations, or contracts
- Experienced with ERP systems, preferably in Microsoft Business Central (or the adaptability to learn it quickly)
- Customer-focused personality
- Comfortable with export basics and proficient in Microsoft Excel for reporting and tracking tasks
