How are the assay ready spheroids generated, which plate format are they delivered in, and how are they shipped?
All ready-to-use spheroids are pre-aggregated (scaffold-free) microtissues formed in Akura™ 96 Spheroid Microplates. They are shipped viable in optimized 3D InSight™ Liver or Islet Maintenance Medium using the InFloat™ shipping system, which preserves microtissue integrity and functionality throughout transport.
What should I do when the spheroids arrive in my lab?
Upon arrival, open the InFloat™ system and remove the box containing the spheroid plate. Verify that the appropriate transport temperature was maintained, briefly centrifuge the plate, visually inspect the spheroids, and perform a media exchange. After overnight incubation, the spheroids are ready for dosing and experimental use the following day.
