3D InSight™ Human Liver Microtissues

A turnkey screening solution for in-house liver safety assessment

3D InSight™ Human Liver Microtissues

3D InSight™ Human Liver Microtissues is the gold standard for liver safety assessment. These pharma-validated, preclinical co-culture liver models have been shown to achieve 2x higher sensitivity for Drug induced liver injury (DILI) prediction compared to traditional 2D hepatocytes.

  • Reflect the average response of a population with a model incorporating hepatocytes from 5 male and 5 female donors
  • Achieve the highest biological relevance with an in vitro model including both parenchymal and non-parenchymal liver cells.
  • Test up to 28-day effects of drug exposure in a stable, organotypic, functional liver model
  • Highly reproducible and robust liquid handling in InSphero’s patented Akura™ 96 plates (engineered to protect microtissues from accidental aspiration and minimize residual cell culture media volumes)
  • Complete turnkey solutions offer lower cost-of-ownership than in-house production

By combining multi-donor diversity with structural and functional robustness, our models are ideal for drug safety and efficacy testing as well as the study of healthy and diseased liver function.

  • InSphero Liver models come with a suite of 3D InSight™ Cell-Culture Media, optimized and tailored to match your scientific applications.
  • 3D InSight™ TOX Liver Medium: Optimized for maintain phase I metabolism for the safety assessment of small molecules
  • 3D InSight™ INF Liver Medium: Optimized for the immuno-competency of the models
  • 3D InSight™ Lean Liver Medium: Optimized for the study of metabolic processes
